How To Drive Traffic To Your Site Using Free Google Analytics Tools?

by Jon Skulemowski

Imagine launching your online business after weeks of hard work, smart ideas, and careful planning. Your website looks great, your products are ready, and your services are solid. But days pass, and the traffic stays low. The truth is simple. A website cannot succeed if people cannot find it. This is where search engines matter, and this is where Google Analytics becomes your silent growth partner. When used the right way, it helps your website stand out, attract the right visitors, and turn views into revenue.

Your site should not stay hidden while competitors move ahead. With the right data, you can understand how people find you, what they look for, and why they leave or stay. Google Analytics gives you this power, and the best part is that it is free and easy to use.

What Is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a free tool from Google that helps you track and study how visitors use your website. It shows clear data about your site performance and user behavior.

With Google Analytics, you can see:

  • Which keywords bring visitors to your site

  • Which websites link back to you

  • How many visitors your site gets every day

  • Which pages people visit the most

  • How long users stay on each page

  • Where users leave your site

  • Errors that stop search engines from reading your pages

This information helps you understand what works and what needs improvement.

Why Google Analytics Matters for SEO?

SEO is not just about adding keywords. It is about understanding user intent and behavior. Google Analytics helps you make smart SEO decisions based on real data.

Here is how it supports better SEO:

  • Shows which keywords drive traffic so you can improve them

  • Helps you find pages with high exit rates

  • Identifies content that attracts users and keeps them engaged

  • Tracks traffic from search engines, social media, and referrals

  • Helps you measure the success of SEO changes

When you know what visitors want, you can shape your content to match their needs.

How Google Analytics Improves Website Performance?

Traffic alone is not enough. What matters is what visitors do after they arrive. Google Analytics helps you improve the overall experience.

You can use it to:

  • Improve weak pages that lose visitors fast

  • Enhance popular pages to drive more conversions

  • Fix technical issues that affect search visibility

  • Improve site speed and navigation

  • Focus on content that brings real value

Every small change you make can be tracked and measured.

Turn Data Into Action

The biggest advantage of Google Analytics is clarity. You do not guess. You act based on facts.

For example:

  • High traffic but low engagement means content needs improvement

  • Strong keyword traffic but low backlinks means link building is needed

  • High bounce rates mean design or page speed needs attention

Once changes are made, you can watch the results live and adjust again if needed.

That’s really helpful thank you, but could you let me know where I paste the Google Analytics code? The Google Analytics instructions are “Copy the following code, then paste it onto every page you want to track immediately before the closing tag.” Could you confirm where on my Multicart website I would need to do this? Many thanks.
