Liuyay is a comprehensive local event engine that allows users to access a wealth of local events quickly and easily. Liuyay is a social networking app that gives users updates on events happening around them. 

Users can explore upcoming and ongoing events in their community and the world from sports, music, entertainment, sales, festivals, concerts, food(restaurants and bars), hobbies and clubs, community, and more. Users can post daily, as often as they would like, about the business, from sales, advertisements, promotions, products or services offered, or testimonials. 

Social networking is nothing but a social media platform designed to bring people together with like minds and common goals. Using the App, You can find everything going on around you. You can even create and join groups. You can create advertisements for your business from sales, promotions, announcements. Users can view the map of places where the events are happening. 

This page will provide contextual content to guide users in a timely, authoritative, and relevant manner to optimize the user experience when and where it is required.

Upon engaging with the platform, new users will have the option to create an account as a basic user or business entity. Users can access and explore the contents of the landing page as a guest or without registering.

How Does Liuyay Work?

Users will be presented with the home page once they login. This area will allow users to manage the basic functions of their profile and view the recent nearby event feeds. Feeds are the collection of posted events and other business-related stuff. These feeds will constantly update with a list of posts in the middle of the home page. 

The feeds allow users to explore all the ongoing and upcoming events posted by other users and accounts they follow. There will be a map view with nearby events in a flag icon.

Users can select a flag, and they will redirect to the detail page of that specific event. Users may start following the interesting accounts to receive feeds from those accounts. The platform will provide various account suggestions to follow based on user activities and search history.

Business accounts can post various feeds, including events, sales, and marketing-related photos, videos, clickable links, and text. These posts will be presented as part of Hyperlocal advertising or marketing strategy.

Each post will be displayed with the post creator name, event title, brief description, venue and timing of the event, posted date, and time—different interactions with respect to the post, count of other users’ interaction, and other information. Users can share on the platform. Upon sharing a post from another user, the platform allows them to attach their commentary to that specific post. Users can also share the post to other social media platforms through social tools.

Users can create a new event through a dedicated link “Create Event” embedded in the main area of the home page. Upon accessing this link, the platform will ask for certain inputs to create an event. Users can report the irrelevant or identical posts and land onto the posted user’s profile from the home page by accessing a quick link.

The platform will be prompted with a list of feeds and a primary filtering option where users can filter the posts based on various categories listed. This filter option helps them to identify personalized events from the home page.

The user profile area will exhibit the user name, profile image, and upon clicking, users will redirect to their profile page, where they can manage the demographic information and more. The home page will be embedded with a search box on the top of the main view. Search functionality will allow consumers to search and refine relevant or desired events by searching the event title, category, and related keywords.

 Event Detail Page

The home page will be listed with active event feeds and users can also access the search functionality to find the relevant and desired events. Upon selecting an event, users can review that specific event prior to expressing their interest.

The event detail page will be presented with an event title, category, detailed description, event creator name and a link to follow that user, posted date and time, event venue details, event date, timing and duration, a link to express the interest to attend, area for user interactions and social tools for sharing, basic terms and conditions.

This page can also provide the total number of users who already expressed their interest in attending that specific event and count of other users’ interactions and more.

The platform has a dedicated link to express the users’ interest in attending that specific event. Once the expression has been made, users will receive timely notifications to remind them. 

Event Creation

The platform offers an event creation kit that allows users to easily create and plan events. This feature is conveniently accessible via the home and profile pages, providing seamless event creation experience to the users.

Upon accessing the link, the platform will be prompted with a series of text fields for user inputs like event title, description, venue, date and timing, duration(start and end date), photos, videos, clickable links, and additional terms on post creation.

Users can select the exact location with the help of a map.

Users can review all the given information and submit the event details for other users’ interest and reference. These successfully created events will be listed on the home page of appropriate users. Furthermore, the users can directly invite other users by sharing the event links through various channels like social media platforms.

The platform will notify users upon creating identical events that other users create. Still, users can ignore the notified message and submit their event. Users can also manage their active or ongoing events from the profile page. They have the authority to delete or update the events based on various factors. Each interested party will get a notification when a user made any updates on the event.

User Profile

The user profile page will give a visual display of personal data associated with that specific user, including profile display picture, personal details, history of created events, list of followers, and following users. Users can access the archive of their own posted events from the profile page.

The platform allows users to land onto the posted user’s profile from the home page by accessing a quick link on their profile name or image. Users can follow and unfollow the desired users while connecting on various activities.

The profile page on our platform facilitates connection and coordination among users through the implementation of basic one-on-one messaging features. This feature enables users to engage in private communication with one another by sending text messages, allowing them to interact seamlessly.

Users can create a new event and new group through dedicated links implanted in the user profile page. Upon accessing these links, the platform will ask for certain inputs to create an event and group.

The settings area will allow consumers to review and edit their basic profile and demographic details, the ability to manage the account settings and parental control, the ability to manage the notification, and the ability to change the password.

 Groups

Groups are the place to communicate about shared interests with certain users. There are two groups on this platform, depending on the group’s privacy settings: public and private. Users can create private and public groups based on their interests. Groups can be a combination of basic users and business entities.

Users can create group-based events from the respective group page.

Users must send requests to join a private group. Users can join the private groups by sending the request, and public groups can be joined without the administrator’s permission.

Users have the ability to unjoin from any group when they decide to opt out of that specific group. Users also have the option to allow their current location while posting a new event. This feature performs only with private groups and their consent.

Business Account

The business account is exclusively for business organizations and enterprises. Business accounts can post various feeds, including events and promotional posts like text, photos, videos, and clickable links. However, they can only post one item at a time.

If the business entity posts a new item, then the older post will disappear, and it will be saved for future action. An internal web data analytics service will be integrated to track and report business accounts’ posts traffic. By using the web analytics service, the administrator can understand their users and their interests.
