This is a very handy tool to add to Chrome that will quickly give you data when you make any search.

WordStream Keywords

If you need a simple, but reliable keyword research tool, WordStream have created the perfect tool for you.

Enter in a domain name, or keyword along with your industry and boom, all the data that you need will be accessible right there.

This tool also has an “email all my keywords” button, which will email you the list of keywords that it has generated for you.

Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest is an incredibly in-depth keyword research tool.

Enter a keyword, or domain name to get related keywords, search volume, CPC, Paid Difficulty, SEO difficulty, and even more data.

With Ubersuggest you can even get content ideas related to the keyword that you enter, and backlink data for your website.

Yes some of these tools are freemium and have both free and paid plans, but they all have free plans that can be used for keyword research.

How To Generate a Custom Email Signature For Free

Did you know creating an email signature that fits with your branding can increase the likelihood of someone clicking through to your site?

In the same way, if it doesn’t match your brand – it could have a negative impact.

In this guide, I’ll walk you through how to create a custom email signature with social media links, contact details, and also a call-to-action (CTA) button.

You can use the CTA in your custom email signature to link to your most recent blog post, a newly launched product, or any other page.

Using your email signature to link to your website, allows you to subtly promote your content to every person that you send an email to.

We will be using the free Email Signature Template Generator by Hubspot, which has many customisation options including layout templates, font selection, and more.

Step 1. Template

The first thing we are going to do is un-check “Created by Hubspot”, to remove the link to the tool from our email signature.

Then, select the template that you want to use.

There aren’t too many, so click onto each one, and pick your favourite.

I personally prefer template 3.

Step 2. Details

Enter your contact details, and add your social links to your email signature.

Details you should enter:

  • Name
  • Job title
  • Department
  • Company name
  • Phone number
  • Website URL
  • Email address
  • Social links

On top of that, you should also enter your address, but that is up to you.

There is also a custom field option where you can add some extra content to your email signature, for mine, I put “The best resource for entrepreneurs”.

Step 3. Style

The next step, is to stylize your email signature.

Select the colours that you want to use, pick out a font, and then choose a font size.

Step 4. Images

Upload all of the images that you want to add to your email signature.

You can’t just click upload and select the image files, instead you need to upload your images to a file sharing site, and then paste in the URL for the images that you want to use.

To do this, I upload my images to imgbb.com, and then copy the URL from the image, and paste it into the email signature generator.

This is also where you can add a CTA to your email signature.

Scroll down and you will see “Create a Custom CTA”.

To create your CTA, you need to add the CTA copy, URL, and select the button colour.

You have now built your own custom email signature.

Click “Create signature” at the bottom of the page, and you are ready to move on to the final step.

Step 5. Implementation

Finally, add your email signature to your email client.

Below the preview of your email signature you will see some buttons…

These are guides that will help you to add your email signature to your email client.

For example, if you use Gmail, click “Add to Gmail”, and it will guide you through the process of adding your email signature to your Gmail account.

Once you have successfully added your new email signature to your email client, send a test email, and you should see your signature at the bottom.

I highly recommend creating your own email signature, as it looks professional, and it’s also a great way to send more people your website.

Why create a Twitter page for your Startup?

If you’re a startup founder, there’s only one thing that’s more important than growing your company, and that’s growing your brand.

Your Twitter page is your window into the world of online communication, conversation, information, support, advice, sales, opportunities, and it’s an excellent place to grow your network.

Creating a Twitter presence is a great way for founders to keep in touch with their potential customers.

It’s also an important marketing activity for startups that are looking to grow rapidly.

What makes Twitter work so well for startups is that it gives users a way to engage with brands in a way that is personal and specific to the business they represent.

Create valuable threads

There are lots of ways to grow your Twitter account.

But the quickest, easiest way to hit big numbers is by creating valuable threads on relevant topics.

These threads can be anything from inspirational tips to product updates.

When people see this type of content on their timeline, they are more likely to follow you and share your content.

You can create threads on anything, just make sure it is relevant to your niche, and valuable to your audience.

Here are some Twitter thread ideas:

  • Tell a story

You can create threads directly within Twitter, or if you want all of the tweets in the thread to be published at once, you can use a tool, I like to use threadcreator.com for this.

When creating Twitter threads, the most important thing to remember is to keep it simple.

Optimize your profile

If you want more followers on Twitter, then you should optimize your profile.

Profile optimization consists of things like adding a bio, uploading a profile picture & cover image, adding a link to your website, etc.

Getting the most people possible to follow you on any platform is vital if you want to be noticed.

Here is a simple checklist for optimizing your Twitter profile:

  • Upload a profile image (a logo or photo works best)
  • Upload a cover image (use this space to promote a product, or show more about yourself)
  • Write a bio (keep it simple, just say what you tweet about)
  • Add a link to your website or blog
  • Add your location if you want to

As you can see, it is simple, but effective.

A brand account will be slightly different, but the process is more or less the same.

Schedule your tweets

One of the most effective ways to grow your Twitter account is to use a social media management tool.

Many people use tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer to manage their Twitter account, as they let you plan and schedule your tweets in a content calendar.

Sign up for Buffer, or another social media management tool, and start scheduling your content in advance.

With Buffer, you can schedule content, analyse your performance, and engage with your followers all within the web or mobile app.

By scheduling your tweets, you can ensure that they will go live when your audience are most active, to maximise engagement.

  • Schedule content for each social account
  • Create posts tailored to each social media platform
  • View all of your scheduled content in your calendar

Embed your tweets

Embedding your tweets into relevant blog posts will place them in front of a new audience.

It’s easy to embed a tweet, just click onto the three dots at the top right of your tweet, then select “Embed Tweet”, and then paste the code generated by Twitter onto your website.

Embedding straight from Twitter is easy to do, and it looks really good.

Embed your timeline

Did you know that you can also embed your entire Twitter timeline onto your website without even needing a plugin?

It’s easy too!

Just follow these simple steps…

  1. Go to publish.twitter.com
  2. Paste your Twitter profile URL
  3. Select “Embed Timeline”
  4. Copy the code, and paste it onto your website

It doesn’t look as clean as embedded tweets, but it is still a cool feature.

Tweet at the right time

It’s important to only tweet when your followers are most active.

Take a look at this heatmap, to see the best hours in the day to publish tweets.

According to SproutSocial, the best days to tweet are Monday to Friday, and the best hours to tweet are between 8am and 1pm.

Tweeting during these hours will result in a higher engagement rate.

Over time, the more you post on Twitter, you will discover when your followers are most active, as this will be when you receive the most engagement.

Then, when you know the specific hours during the day that your followers are most active on Twitter, you should start planning and scheduling your content for those particular hours.

Engage in the community

Communicate with your customers, fans, and fellow creators on Twitter.

Make a habit of it.

It’s simple but very powerful.

When you answer questions from your followers, they become more engaged with you and your brand, and are more likely to share your content.

It’s crucial that you become a part of the Twitter community within your industry.

Do you have expertise in niche topics and a knack for getting noticed?

Then you may have what it takes to leverage Twitter for your benefit — even if you don’t have any followers!

Start by following other people in your niche, and then engage in their content, provide valuable feedback, and give your opinions on things.

The more you tweet, the more people will see your tweets … it’s that simple.

However, you must never spam, as then you will be seen as a nuisance and people will unfollow you.

Regularly create quality content, and engage in quality content that other users post.

Use Twitter polls

Twitter polls are a great way of gathering opinions and data.

Polls also make it easy for your followers to see how their responses compare to others.

If you’re trying to grow your following on Twitter, a poll can be a great way of gauging the response to your posts.

Posting polls on Twitter gives your followers a new way to engage in your content, and allows you to see their opinions on the questions that you ask.

To create a poll, simply click onto the poll icon under the writing area for your tweet, then add a question, multiple choices (up to 4) for your followers to choose from, and then set the length of time that you want it to run for.

Once you have entered all of the into for your poll, click “Tweet” to post it to Twitter!

Add a “Click to Tweet” widget to your site

A “click to tweet” widget will add a clickable widget to your site, which when clicked, will open Twitter with a tweet already written out.

I highly recommend adding a click to tweet widget to highly shareable content.

I created the following widget in just a couple of minutes, click it to give it a try…

I used clicktotweet.com to make it, and as you can see, it looks great!

With this tool, you can select a theme, add your own custom text to the tweet, and view analytics.

Use hashtags… sometimes

The right hashtags will help more people find your content, but don’t use them too often, and don’t use too many.

Hashtags are great, but that can look spammy, especially if you use too many.

If you are creating a post that you want to give a natural boost, add 2/3 relevant hashtags to it.

Talking about a trending topic?

Use a hashtag that is currently trending.

To find trending topics, go to the “explore” tab, and then click “trending”.

Here you will see all of the currently trending topics and hashtags.

Hashtags are really good for when you want to join in with a trend, or for adding to posts that you’re going to promote.

Use Twitter Fleets

Fleets are a new Twitter feature, and they are basically Twitter’s version of Instagram Stories.

Fleets appear above your timeline, but only on mobile.

A Fleet can include text, videos, GIFs, Stickers, or photos, and are in a vertical format that you can click through.

Read this article on Twitter’s help centre, to learn more about Fleets.

Because they are new, I suggest creating Fleets like you would with Instagram Stories, as they give you the opportunity to appear at the top of the Twitter timeline.

While Fleets are new and intriguing, using them could give you a boost of engagement.

Don’t forget about analytics

It’s important to keep track of your growth, and to analyse the engagement of your Tweets.

Luckily, Twitter has an incredible analytics interface.

Just head over to analytics.twitter.com while you are logged in, and you can access the analytics dashboard for your Twitter account.

At the top of your dashboard there is a 28 day summary.

The Twitter analytics 28 summary displays:

  • Number of tweets posted
  • Number of tweet impressions
  • Number of profile visits
  • Number of mentions received
  • Total follower count

Then, below the summary, you can view the highlights from the previous months.

The monthly Twitter highlights include:

  • Top tweet
  • Top mention
  • Top follower
  • Top media tweet

The monthly highlights are great, because they help you to find out your most successful content from the previous months.

To view in-depth analytical data for each tweet, click onto “Tweets” at the top of your analytics dashboard.

This is your tweet activity page.

On this page, you can see how many impressions, and engagements each individual tweet has received.

You can use this data to learn which content is most successful for your page, so that you know what you should post more of in the future.

Do you ever feel like you are running out of relevant topics to write about?

Would you like to spruce up your writing by working on the trending topics people are interested in?

Today I am going to teach you how to use Google Trends to generate content ideas.

Google Trends is a useful tool to use when you are trying to generate content ideas.

The tool shows you what people from all around the world are searching for on Google but also displays related searches which can give your content ideas.

It gives you real-time data so you can see how popular a search term is.

The quickest way to find content ideas, is to look at the “Recently trending” section on the home page.

This section will show you the latest trending searches on Google.

If you click “More trending searches”, you can also choose to see either daily search trends, or real-time search trends, and as well as that, you can select the specific country that you want to see the search trends data for.

Then, on real-time search trends, you can sort by category, so you can only see search trends in your niche!

You can use all of this information to create content ideas for topics that are trending right now.

If you enter a keyword into Google Trends, and then scroll down to the “Related queries” section, you will find queries that people are searching that are related to the keyword you entered.

All of these are content ideas!

Take any of these related queries, and type them into Google to see what content other people have created.

Then, start creating content with your own unique twist.

For YouTube content ideas, use the “YouTube Search” filter

If you want to use Google Trends to generate YouTube content ideas, enter a keyword like normal, and then filter the data to show “YouTube Search” data only.

Once you have selected “YouTube Search” from the dropdown box, scroll down to the Related queries section again.

All of these are YouTube video ideas that are related to your keyword!

This will help you build trust and loyalty in them, which is the key to growth for any type of business.

In addition, choosing a niche enables you to test the waters before investing any time or money into something that could flop.

On the other hand, choosing the right niche can also hurt your chances of success.

If you try to start a business that nobody in your area knows about, or cares about, you are essentially throwing your business away.

Finding the right niche takes time and effort, but if you are patient and take action, you will discover the perfect niche for your business.

Create a Business Plan

A business plan is the cornerstone of your business.

If you don’t understand SEO, you can take an online course, or you can hire an SEO agency to do it for you.

SEO is crucial as optimizing your content, is what will make your web pages rank in Google and other search engines.

This will bring traffic and potential customers to your website!

Increase Website Traffic

Traffic is one of the most important things for starting an online business.

The more people who see your website, the more likely it is that someone will buy from you.

Starting an online business is challenging, but if you take the time to optimize your website and build an effective marketing plan you can tap into an unstoppable source of traffic and business.

It may not be used much at the start, but having an email list is crucial to growing an online business.

So, if you’re serious about starting an online business, start an email list.

It may sound simple, but too many people miss this step.

An email list, is a list of email addresses from people who have bought a product from you, or subscribed to your newsletter via your website.

Then, when you launch a new product, or just want to send an update to your email list subscribers, you can send them all an email at once by using your email list.

There are many tools that can be used for email marketing, but I prefer using ConvertKit, or GetResponse, however, there are also many more tools like these that you can use.

Once you have completed all of these steps, you are ready to start your online business.

I’ve found that interviewing customers can be the most cost effective way to gather information for creating marketing campaigns, new business ideas, growing your profits, and running effective promotions.

  • Interview friends, family, customers, and also competitors
  • Write out a clear set of questions to avoid confusion
  • Try to interview a wide range of people in your target market for best results

Competitive analysis is an important business research technique that helps companies evaluate their competitors and decide how best to compete.

It provides a comparison of sales figures, marketing strategies, competitors’ product quality, etc, that can be used to set up a benchmark for competitive evaluation.

  • Use tools that will help you to keep up with competitors

I have found that observation is the best market research technique, but you should try all of the techniques that I have explained.
