iPlasma Case Study

iPlasma, based in Florida, is a digital platform connecting plasma donors, hospitals, medical specialists, plasma collection centers, and other reputable companies. With the help of technology and information, iPlasma has become one of the leading platforms for people looking to donate or receive plasma. The website targets plasma donation centers. Featuring a clean and easy-to-use interface, iPlasma provides both donors and recipients with a quick registration service. iPlasma is a one-stop platform for donors planning to donate to the plasma centers in their area.

iPlasma for Donors

Donors can register themselves on the website with the help of a digital tool. They are supposed to enter the personal and other details, as requested by the website, to get their name in the donation queue. The registration process is pretty simple. Once the donor has submitted the required details, they will automatically be added to the donation database.

The donors are verified after the admin has carefully reviewed their details. Basically, they have to mention their name, address, mobile number, social security number, and email address. There’s also a section that asks where the donor heard about the service. If somebody personally referred to iPlasma, they need to fill an additional section with the user’s name. The donor also has to show if they have donated previously.

As soon as the donor has filled this page, they will be redirected to a “thank-you” page, which can be customized by the admin. The donor’s name will be registered for further evaluation. Once the admin has checked the details and approved this information, the donor will be added to the database. Once the user’s account is verified on iPlasma, they can use a connected camera to log into their accounts. They are asked to submit their identification details, such as a government-issued ID. The user has to hold the ID in front of the camera. The camera will automatically record the identification details and save that in the records.

Once the donors have filled the forms, they will be added to the “donor queue,” where the administrator can review their details. This list of donor queues is strictly for the admin and staff use. It shows the limited information about the people waiting on the list for donations and the total time they have been waiting. The rest of their details are omitted. The admin gets to decide who to select for donation and which candidate should be removed. Accordingly, they can call users for appointments.

Appointment

After reviewing the donors’ details carefully, the admin can add donors to the queue and schedule their appointments. The admin can fill in the necessary details regarding the donor and the appointment. There is an additional field that asks about the date the donation should take place. The calendar display can be used for this purpose. As soon as this field is completed, the user will get an email reminder showing the date of the appointment. The administrator gets to make changes to the content of the email as required.

Just like how HubSpot uses the “book a meeting” section for allowing users to get in touch with a professional, iPlasma has the same registration system that brings traffic to the registration page. From here, the donors are given detailed instructions on how they can register themselves for donation and when they will be called for an appointment.

In addition, the administrator gets a couple of reports, such as the acceptance rate, scheduled reports, and no-shows. These reports show the pending appointment, number of donors who have completed their donation, number of donors who signed into iPlasma, and more. The admin also gets to customize the email messages sent to the donor. They will get a template for adding images, texts and changing alignments of the text. The admin doesn’t have to send emails manually to each individual. This task is automated. Once the admin has scheduled the pre-programmed messaging, an automated email will be sent to the donors informing them about the current status of their application, how long they may have to wait in the queue, and when their appointment is scheduled.

iPlasma is a feature-packed website that offers a seamless experience to donors wanting to donate to the plasma centers. The website has an open-source analytics platform, which enables people to view general traffic analysis, as well as entry sources. Users can choose from Spanish and English (whichever works for them). There is a language tab on the top of the website, allowing users to set their preferred language. This feature can also be edited by the admin so that they can enable multiple languages in the future. As far as the website structure is concerned, it is straightforward. There is a Login button located on the header, allowing people to sign into their accounts with the given username and password.

Donation Center Administration

The administrator of the plasma center will be provided with a unique username and password that they can use to access the dashboard. It shows the latest analytics with the details of each donor, who’s next in line, and who have completed the donation. They can remove the donors from the list and speed up the queue from the dashboard. The admin will also get several reports, such as pending appointments, donor left center, theoretical acceptance rate, no-show appointment, and new donor list. They can send a personalized email saying “thank you” to the donor for donating to the center. The admin can also view and analyze the website traffic from the dashboard. The admin gets the ability to include different locations on the site.

The content management area is open to customization. The admin can log into the website to access the primary administrator dashboard and make edits to the text content. The static pages, such as contact us, privacy policy, and terms and conditions, are editable. The admin also gets a few reports that allow them to monitor the website activity. These reports contain the details of plasma donors.
