Yes, it is possible to shop from multiple stores at a time. Each store is set up as an individual, standalone website or store. Each store is completely independent. There will not be any connections or references from the main website to the stores. If you are running a couple of stores and want to link those stores together, it is possible to put a link or connect from one store to the other; however, it may require a slight coding modification.
