iScripts SupportDesk Upgrade Manual
Prelude
Please read every step of the relevant instructions before undertaking the first step. It is always a good idea to backup your data before performing any sort of update. Before you begin the upgrade process, you must ensure that you have a full backup of your database. After you have backed up your database, ensure that you download the complete contents of your current installation to a safe location on your local machine.
Upgrade procedure
Take the backup of your existing SupportDesk Files and Database.
Copy the files and folder from the newly purchased pack (ie, SupportDesk) to your existing site folder.
Overwrite all files and folders.
Copy config/settings.php and .htaccess files from the backup of SupportDesk to your existing site folder
Set 'Write' permission to the following folders (Set folder permission as 777)
a) config/settings.php
b) attachments
c) downloads
d) custom
e) styles
f) backup
g) csvfiles
h) api/useradd.php
i) api/server_class.php
j) admin/purgedtickets
k) admin/purgedtickets/attachments
Run the following URL in your browser and follow the instructions.
http://www.yoursitename/upgrade-4.3/
Once it is done press the 'Upgrade' button to start the upgrade procedure
When the upgrade procedure is completed successfully, cross check your existing files and database with the upgraded one
