iScripts EasyIndex Upgrade Manual

 

Prelude

Please read every step of the relevant instructions before undertaking the first step. It is always a good idea to backup your data before performing any sort of update. Before you begin the upgrade process, you must ensure that you have a full backup of your database. After you have backed up your database, ensure that you download the complete contents of your current installation to a safe location on your local machine.

 

Upgrade procedure

Important: Take the backup of your existing EasyIndex Files and Database.

 

a) Download the new version of EasyIndex.

 

b) Take backup of the existing all files and database.

 

c) Delete all your current files with the new one except uploads directory , easyindex_config.php and config/settings.php.

 

d) Unzip the entire contents into your current directory.

 

e) Replace uploads directory , easyindex_config.php and config/settings.php.

 

f) Run the URL http://www.yoursitename/upgrade2.1 and follow the instructions shown on screen.

 

g) Once it is done press the 'Upgrade' button to start the upgrade procedure

  

When the upgrade procedure is completed successfully, cross check your existing files and database with the upgraded one
