thing to remember is to keep it simple.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"optimize-your-profile\">Optimize your profile<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If you want more followers on Twitter, then you should optimize your profile.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Profile optimization consists of things like adding a bio, uploading a profile picture &amp; cover image, adding a link to your website, etc.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Getting the most people possible to follow you on any platform is vital if you want to be noticed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Here is a simple checklist for optimizing tweets<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>One of the most effective ways to grow your Twitter account is to use a social media management tool.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Many people use tools such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hootsuite.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hootsuite<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/buffer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Buffer<\/a> to manage their Twitter account, as they let you plan and schedule your tweets in a content calendar.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Sign up for Buffer, or another social media management tool, and start scheduling your content in advance.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>With Buffer, you can schedule content, analyse your performance, and engage with your followers all within the web or mobile app.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>By scheduling your tweets, you can ensure that they will go live when your audience are most active, to maximise engagement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Buffer publishing features:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Schedule content for each social account<\/li>\r\n<li>Create posts tailored to each social media platform<\/li>\r\n<li>View all of your free.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"embed-your-tweets\">Embed your tweets<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Embedding your tweets into relevant blog posts will place them in front of a new audience.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It&#8217;s easy to embed a tweet, just click onto the three dots at the top right of your tweet, then select &#8220;Embed Tweet&#8221;, and then paste the code feature.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"tweet-at-the-right-time\">Tweet at the right time<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It&#8217;s important to only tweet when your followers are most active.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Take a look at this heatmap, to see the best hours in the day to publish tweets.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large kg-card target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SproutSocial<\/a>, the best days to tweet are Monday to Friday, and the best hours to tweet are between 8am and 1pm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Tweeting during these hours will result in a higher engagement rate.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Over time, the more you post on Twitter, you will discover when your followers are most active, as this will be when you receive the most engagement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Then, when you know the specific hours during the day that your followers are most active on Twitter, you should start planning and scheduling your content for those particular hours.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"engage-in-the-community\">Engage in the community<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Communicate with your customers, fans, and fellow creators on Twitter.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Make a habit of it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It&#8217;s simple but very powerful.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>When you answer questions from your followers, they become more engaged with you and your brand, and are more likely to share your content.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It&#8217;s crucial that you become a part of the Twitter community within your industry.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Do you have expertise in niche topics and a knack for getting noticed?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Then you may have what it takes to leverage Twitter for your benefit &#8212; even if you don&#8217;t have any followers!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Start by following other people in your niche, and then engage in their content, provide valuable feedback, and give your ask.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>To create a poll, simply click onto the poll icon under the writing area for your tweet, then add a question, multiple choices (up to 4) for your followers to choose from, Twitter!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"add-a-click-to-tweet-widget-to-your-site\">Add a &#8220;Click to Tweet&#8221; widget to your site<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A &#8220;click to tweet&#8221; widget will add a clickable widget to your site, which when clicked, will open Twitter with a tweet already written out.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>I highly recommend adding a click to tweet widget to highly great!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>With this tool, you can select a theme, add your own custom text to the tweet, and view analytics.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"use-hashtags-sometimes\">Use hashtags&#8230; sometimes<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The right hashtags will help more people find your content, but don&#8217;t use them too often, and don&#8217;t use too many.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Hashtags are great, but that can look spammy, especially if you use too many.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If you are creating a post that you want to give a natural boost, add 2\/3 relevant hashtags to it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Talking about a trending topic?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Use a hashtag that is currently trending.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>To find trending topics, go to the &#8220;explore&#8221; tab, and then click &#8220;trending&#8221;.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large kg-card kg-image-card\"><a for when you want to join in with a trend, or for adding to posts that you&#8217;re going to promote.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"use-twitter-fleets\">Use Twitter Fleets<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Fleets are a new Twitter feature, and they are basically Twitter&#8217;s version of Instagram Stories.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Fleets appear above your timeline, but only on mobile.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A Fleet can include text, videos, GIFs, Stickers, or photos, and are in a vertical format that you can click through.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure
